The Minneapolis Beacons Network engages youth as 21st Century leaders and learners by turning schools into vibrant community centers, offering free, high-quality programming after school and in the summer.
The Network was designed to replicate the highly successful Beacons model in New York City. Our Network is a collaboration of the Minneapolis Public Schools (co-applicant) with four trusted founding partners: MPS Community Education, YMCA of the North, YWCA Minneapolis, and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities. Two new agencies are being added in 2023, Pillsbury United Communities and Minneapolis College. |
